Hello Kitty and Friends 2-Inch Figure 2-Pack is $14.95 and the simplest entry point — one sealed pack, two figures, randomly selected from the Series 1 lineup. It's a blind pack, so you won't know which two characters you're getting until you open it, which is half the fun for a kid who's into collecting.

The Hello Kitty and Friends 2-Inch Mini Figures 2-Pack Bundle is $27.95 and bundles two of those blind packs together for four figures total. It's the middle option — more chances at getting a favorite character, still random, still sealed.

If you already know you want the whole Series 1 set rather than leaving it to chance, the Hello Kitty and Friends Complete Series 1 Collection is $51.95 for all eight Series 1 figures, no duplicates and no guessing. It's the most expensive option here, but it's the only one that guarantees a complete set — the blind packs alone would take more than one purchase to get there, and even then duplicates are possible.

Plush and interactive play — Cookeez Makery Hello Kitty

For a kid who wants to actually play with something rather than display it, the Cookeez Makery Hello Kitty Toasty Treatz Bundle is $19.95 and currently in stock. It's an interactive scented plush toy shaped like a toaster — pop in the included "bread," and a scented Hello Kitty-themed plush pops out. It's aimed at ages 5 and up and leans more toward hands-on play than shelf collecting, which makes it a good pairing with the figures above if you want to cover both types of play in one gift.

Crossover collectibles — Real Littles and LOL Surprise

Hello Kitty also shows up as a guest character inside two other collectible lines we carry, and both are worth knowing about even though neither is in stock this week.

The Real Littles Hello Kitty Mini Backpack ($17.95) is a tiny, fully functional mini backpack with working zippers and micro accessories inside — it's Real Littles' regular format, just done in Hello Kitty styling. It's currently sold out; we're not showing an ETA, so if this is the one your kid wants, check back on the page rather than assuming it'll reappear on a set schedule.

The LOL Surprise Loves Hello Kitty Tots Collectible Doll ($18.95) is a 50th-anniversary collaboration doll with seven included accessories, built on LOL Surprise's usual unboxing format. This one is also currently out of stock. Both pages will show as available again the moment we get inventory, so it's worth bookmarking rather than searching elsewhere for a listing that may not be genuine.

We're listing both here anyway because they're a different kind of Hello Kitty item than the figures or plush above — if a kid is into Real Littles or LOL Surprise specifically, these are the crossover pieces to know about, in-stock or not.

Back to school gear

Not every Hello Kitty item here is a toy. The Hello Kitty 16-Inch Backpack and Insulated Lunch Bag Set is $29.95 and pairs a full-size 16-inch backpack with a matching insulated lunch bag, officially licensed and sized for ages 3 and up. It's a practical pick rather than a collectible, but it's the same character license as everything else on this list, and it's a natural add-on if you're already buying a birthday gift and back-to-school season happens to be close behind.

Figures vs. plush vs. crossover vs. gear

Want a small, affordable gift with a collecting angle. The 2-inch figure 2-pack at $14.95. It's a blind pack, so treat it as a surprise gift rather than a guaranteed-character purchase.

Want to guarantee a complete set. The Complete Series 1 Collection at $51.95. It's the only option here that skips the randomness entirely.

Want something to actually play with, not just collect. The Cookeez Makery Toasty Treatz Bundle. It's interactive and scented, and it holds up to regular handling better than a display figure.

Want a Hello Kitty item outside the standard figure line. Check back on the Real Littles backpack or the LOL Surprise Tots doll — both are worth the wait if your kid already collects either of those brands, but neither is available to ship today.

Need something functional, not a toy at all. The 16-inch backpack and lunch bag set covers that without straying from the character license.

Ages and budget

Most of what's here is rated ages 3 and up, with the figure packs specifically calling out small parts — keep those away from toddlers even in a household where an older sibling is the intended collector.

Under $20. The 2-inch figure 2-pack ($14.95), the Cookeez Makery Toasty Treatz Bundle ($19.95), and the Real Littles mini backpack ($17.95, currently out of stock) all land in this range.

$20 to $30. The mini figures 2-pack bundle ($27.95) and the 16-inch backpack and lunch bag set ($29.95).

$50 and up. The Complete Series 1 Collection ($51.95) is the splurge option, and it's the one to pick if a complete set matters more than a lower price per figure.

Frequently asked questions

Are these figures official Sanrio products?

Yes. The Hello Kitty and Friends figures, plush, and accessories on this list are officially licensed Sanrio merchandise, not generic or fan-made lookalikes.

Can I choose which figures I get in the blind packs?

No. The 2-pack and mini figures bundle are both sealed blind packs — the characters inside aren't shown or marked on the outside, and duplicates are possible if you buy more than one. If you want a guaranteed full set with no duplicates, the Complete Series 1 Collection is the option that skips the randomness.

When will the Real Littles Hello Kitty backpack and the LOL Surprise Tots doll be back in stock?

We don't have a firm restock date for either right now. Both product pages will automatically show as available again as soon as inventory comes in, so it's worth checking back on the page directly rather than assuming a specific timeline.

How many different characters are in the Series 1 figure line?

Eight. That's the full lineup you get guaranteed, with no duplicates, in the Complete Series 1 Collection. The 2-pack and mini figures bundle pull randomly from that same eight-character set, so duplicates are possible until you've collected them all.

What age is the Cookeez Makery Toasty Treatz Bundle right for?

It's rated ages 5 and up. It's an interactive toy with small included pieces, so it's better suited to a child who can handle the toaster mechanism and accessories without close supervision.

Is the backpack and lunch bag set actual school gear, or is it a toy?

It's functional gear, not a toy — a full-size 16-inch backpack with a matching insulated lunch bag, officially licensed and sized for ages 3 and up. It's meant for daily use rather than display or play.

Where to start

For a first Hello Kitty gift with the widest appeal, we'd point you to the 2-inch figure 2-pack paired with the Cookeez Makery Toasty Treatz Bundle — one to collect, one to actually play with. If a complete set matters more than surprise, go straight to the Complete Series 1 Collection instead.

The full range is in our Hello Kitty toys and plush collection, including the Real Littles and LOL Surprise crossover pieces once they're back in stock. Everything ships in one business day, with free US shipping on qualifying orders.
